Neslihan Atagül Doğulu and Kadir Doğulu are set to reunite on-screen in the season, in Star TV’s ‘Gecenin Ucunda’, based on a book with the same title.
Directed by Barış Erçetin, the series follows the story of Macide, whose unhappiness in her business life, leads her drive to wanting to help others instead. On the way to finding herself, Macide will be tested by love, embarking on a journey she has never been on before.
‘Gecenin Ucunda’ is written by Başar Başaran and Emre Özdür and also stars Zuhal Olcay, Tuba Ünsal, Bertan Asllani, Özge Özder, Kaan Taşaner, Bestemsu Özdemir, Levent Özdilek, Ebru Aykaç, Şencan Güleryüz, Aysun Metiner, Gonca Yakut, Aleyna Özgeçen, Abdulkerim İlhan, Hazal Şenel, Seyda Bayram, Cem Avnayim, Tugay Bahşi, Ufuk Tevge, Kuzey Kaya, Ubeyt Ünal, and Oya Ünal.
IS THE SERIES ‘Gecenin Ucunda’ ADAPTATION?
The series, in which we will watch the story of Macide, who is in her thirties but realizes that she has not lived her life when she looks back, is a book adaptation… The novel “Ucunda of the Night” is signed by Peride Celal. The script of the series is signed by Emre Özdur and Başar Başaran. The director and other cast of the series will be announced in the coming weeks.
‘Gecenin Ucunda’ Series Plot
The work, which Peride Celal calls “the most beautiful romance novel I’ve ever written”, tells the impressive story of Macide, who turns her back on love and tries to create a new life for herself and her child and reach a humane world.
Macide, who is a psychology graduate and works in the human resources department, feels stuck among the gray concrete of Ankara in this story. After a while, Macide shrinks, decides to change her life, and the story begins here. Istanbul falls into his mind, and the fortune-teller he meets on the way confuses him. In this story, he feels cramped among the gray concrete of Ankara. Ahmet Işık, who meets her on the train, will be the “light in her life” that the fortuneteller sees, perhaps Macide. For this reason, he decides to keep his thorns to himself.
Production is currently underway as the series preps for a September premiere on Star TV.
